Kameencollier Zwei Frauen am Brunnen/Two Ladys at a fountain

Die Kette ist 45,5 cm lang. Der Extender mißt 4,5cm. Die große ovale Kamee ist 30 × 40mm groß. Die beiden kleinen Kameen sind 25×18mm klein. /The chain is 45.5 cm/ 18" long. The extender measures 4.5 cm/1,5". The large oval cameo is 30 × 40 mm. The two small cameos are 25 × 18 mm. 

Mit der frühklassizistischen Mode des sehr späten 18. Jh. waren Kameenketten und Ohrringe dieser Art ab den 1790ern der letzte Schrei. Auch die interessante Kettenform, genannt Festonkette wird ab den frühen 1790er Jahren immer beliebter und erfreut sich bis ins frühe 20Jh. großer Beliebtheit. Die Kameen bestehen aus Kunstharz und sind seltene Vintagestücke aus den 50er Jahren. Die Kette ist aus Edelstahl.  /With the neoclassicist fashion of the very late 18th century, cameo necklaces and earrings of this type were all the rage from the 1790s onwards.  

The interesting chain shape, called festoon chain, also became increasingly popular from the early 1790s onwards and remained popular until the early 20th century.

The cameos are made of synthetic resin and are rare vintage pieces from the 1950s. The chain is made of  stainless steel.
